Philadelphia sports fans have been called everything from unruly to passionate.

Over the years, radio talker Howard Eskin has been in the middle of the on-air discussions that bring controversy to the airways. A lifelong Delaware Valley resident, Eskin smiles when asked about the love-hate relationship with the fans.

"They are passionate about their sports teams and their city," said Eskin recently at Aronimink Golf Club. "You don't have to ask them how they feel, because they tell you right out. Everyone has an opinion. I like being part of that."
