Three area players posted top-40 finishes in the 94th Pennsylvania Open held at Applebrook Golf Club.
Yardley's Jon Rusk, buoyed by an eagle-3 on the par-5 16th hole in the final round, closed with a 69 for a three-day total of 2-under-par 211. He opened with rounds of 69 and 73.

Dominic Marco teamed with Dave Meschel to claim the Yardley Country Club Men's President's Cup, defeating the twosome of Ken Stout and Rich Harkins.
The semifinalists included Steve Budenz and Chris Kornacki and the team of Stan Davis and Blaine Applegate.

Winning an American Junior Golf Association event is not supposed to be easy. Outstanding junior golfers from around the United States and abroad battle on excellent courses and a victory is ever so hard to attain.
Unfortunately, nobody told New Hope's Zachary Herr about the difficulty, because he didn't simply win the Killington Junior Golf Championship at Green Mountain National in Killington, VT. No, he did it in runaway style.

Several area players posted stellar tournaments at the Pennsylvania Amateur, while a local girl posted a top-10 finish at the Trusted Choice "Big I" National Championship.
How many Bucks County players have captured the Pennsylvania Amateur Championship?
How about zero?
